i'm so over this trip already...we're waiting for our flight to honalulu from sydney and i do not want to get on a 9 hour flight stuck next to brother and sister. probably doesnt help that i feel crappy..my stomach still hurts.. and that we've been not having the best luck..well not too bad but meh.

hopefully it picks up. sure it will.

i just dont like having an ew stomach. its ok when its full but thats it...when its not it cramps

on better news i can bring home a 32kg suitcase from hawaii. like only going in europe its 20kg but to and from the US its 2x 32kg bags but i can only bring one back to perth so its like only one 32kg bag. but woot!! thats serious souvineer buying!

i think ill bring a small child home too

p.s. i miss kitty! not that she can read this but im having withdrawls! gah!! well in 16 days i can speak to her again!!

its interesting after me never ever posting stuff of worthwhileness on here now i have 2 posts within a few hours of eachother!! shock horror!

well i just wanted to make it known im running away to hawaii for 3 weeks. i keep thinking ive told everyone then ill mention it and get a look of shockgasphorror how did i not know about this. so this is your notification!

i'll be leaving in a week..on friday and i leave here at 5:45 i think the flight goes..meaning leaving home at 4:30...gay! am by the way...i wouldnt mind so much if it was pm. though i think ill just pull an all nighter so i can sleep on the plane. we had to get an earlier flight because of all this crap about qantas delaying their flights due to strikes. apparently today will be the worst day. jet star which is in the same company as qantas decided to make a gay ass rule that if you are not there an hour before your flight, the check in desk will be closed there fore you loose all your moneys. so we decided rather than missing our entire holiday.. or chance of (because dad said if we miss the flight we'll probably just come back home) so we're leaving super early. hey i dont mind a few hours less sleep so i can indulge in more hawaiiness! :D or atleast some..

but main aspect of this post was dont forget about me when i go...but i know you wont because that was tested last year when i ran away to suomi land. but also more of a what do you want for random souvineery crap. gosh my room is going to look like a international tourist shop. i just need something from the africas, though jacque fills that niche quite nice and i enjoy having him in my room.. and then from the asias...m you much now join me and jacque in the international land! or apparently there are presents to give all of us from your box of wonder...or they were given and i didnt recieve any... D:

ive always wanted kids but lately i dont know why people would put themselves through the torment of having them. like yes when theyre like 9 months old and smiley they are the cutest things in the world, and when theyre teenagers they start to undertand you more and later on can become your best friends, but seriously, having this spawn running around after you yelling 'MUUUUMMMMMYYYYYYYYY' cannot be relaxing or in any way plesent. and its not like a cat where they are like ahhhhgivemeattentionnow then going to sleep..this thing like relies on you. ive been wanting a dog but jacque got a border collie puppy..zulu is like 2 months old and all he wants to do is chew off your face.. like i hear a baby crying..i did see a baby crying yesterday and the parents and grandparents were passing it around and trying to comfor it while this thing's face turned the colour of a ripe tomato. it wasnt until a few minuteds later when they gave it a bottle did it be quiet. like come on. if you knew that was what it wanted why didnt you shove the bottle into its face earlier.. so in short...no i dont want kids..not now anyway unless they come with an on off switch

7. Brothers/Sisters:
older sister shannon, 21, who ive been getting along with rather well lately. sometimes her stubborness and her selfishness doesn get annoying but she is officcially the laziest person ever. i swear she could have slept through WWII. you will not understand this unless you come here and listen to her alarm go off for 4 hours before she finally gets up at 2pm. she is going to iowa in august for a semester of uni so it will be interesting how her room mates think of ways to kill her while the noise of her alarm digs into their skulls. also why are we allowing her to go to a place where in the news the floods are as high as traffic lights and 4 kids are killed by a tornado while camping. how reassuring!!
younger brother geoff 15.. still annoying, we dont try and kill eachother as much anymore. though he still stresses me to no end which is rather annoying..when i dont know what he's doing or how to fix it.

8. Pets:
cat max who is almost 2. he does weight about 8kg and until now before running into my shoe cupboard to have a smell then run away from the vaccuum cleaner was laying under my arms. he is like a dog and the most awesome furry friend you could have. like he is such an attention seeker. when he wants you to scratch him he will hollar at you till you give him recognition and either will be happy at that or proceed to jump ontop of what ever you are doing, push everything off the desk you are at and lay down on whats left.. but if you are laying down its a different story. if youre trying to sleep he will wedge his head under your arm and rub his face next to yours which will wake anyone up as his breath smells like a rotting carcus or will chew on anything thich moves. if youre watching tv he..well maybe just for me, will crawl onto your torso and lay with his nose touching yours propped up on your boobs and puurs like a maniac. rather sweet. he will always hang around who ever is home. recently he has been spending most days with me, sleeping on my bed during the day when i study. he is like an obedient dog and knows when he's done something wrong. if he starts to chew on you, just by saying his name loudly he will feel sorry and lick you for an apology. also he comes when i click my fingers. i come home from uni or work, stand in the kitchen clicking and within a minute he is trotting up to me saying hello. im rather fond of him :)
also have a budgie who is orion. we originally thought she was a boy but now with the amount of eggs shes been laying we're pretty convinced. before when she was laying the eggs she wouldnt care about them usually destroying them. this time she is nesting on 3 eggs. its rather sad because thats all she does day in and day out for about 2 weeks now. poor thing doesnt know they will never hatch. i hope she gives up soon..

-firstly finishing my exams which end tomorrow
-getting my grades back. im pretty sure if i fail anything im going to drop out of uni. if i cant pass something my first year first semester of uni then what am i doing here. its probably going to be biology which is the main focus of my dream career.. so i may have to re-evaluate everything
-holidays in hawaii starting friday the 4th. hopefully we can actually get on our plane from sydney to honalulu because the flights out of perth have been delayed so much. we miss the flight, we go home and loose thousands and thousands of dollars..
-re doing my room..my room has been so cluttery and i need to re do it. more sophisticated and grown up. i dont need my babysitter club books anymore. i think its all part of the coming back from finland and growing so much from that. i want to make myself look like the person i feel on the outside
-getting fit. this also is probably to do with that. i dont look the way i feel and i want to fix that. after hawaii im doing some serious working out..

mum nancy and dad keith. still together and who i love very much. mom i gained alot of respect for last night when she realised i was becoming older and the sort of relationship im in and that she has to respect whats going on there.. and dad who really is a hero to me after beating prostate cancer this year. he's all clean and loves to show of all his little scars from it.

theyre spread all over the world.. many here in perth but some as far as south africa, and canada.. i really miss them and hopefully i can see the ones in australia at the end of the year..

YOU KNOW YOU'RE AN EXCHANGE STUDENT IF...

1. You ask for some type of food/snack/drink to be care packaged to you as your Christmas present.

2. When you have problems understanding people in your native language because you instinctively assume they're speaking your host language and listen for words in that language.

3. Back home, you watch lame documentaries on the History channel in the hopes of seeing your host country or hearing your host language.

4. Back home, you have a hard time walking off the sidewalks (and always scan for dog poop if you do).

5. You have at least five stories you could never tell your parents.

6. You ever got out of punishment of being yelled at, or gotten out of schoolwork because you didn't understand the language or pretended that you didn't.

7. You at least miss 2 months of school because of travelling or just because of that 'I don't feel like going today...'

8. You can sing all the Top 20 songs from your exchange year...even a year later....

9. You buy everything in sight with the name of the country you went to visit so when you go back people are bound to ask you about it.

10. You're so used to another culture and language that your home country is a distant memory.

11. You can trick people at parties into thinking you're from wherever you went on exchange.

12. Getting yelled at doesn't bother you because they just sound so funny getting all worked up in a foreign language.

13. You wait all week for your school's one English magazine (TIME) to arrive in the library.

14. People believe you when you say that back in America (Australia) your house has 10 TVs and you eat hamburgers 3 times a day (ride a kangaroo to school every day).

15. You get to be the mascot of your Rotary Club.

16. You make references to your exchange casually all the time, because sometimes you'll find someone who actually cares.

17. You want to kill your classmates in your foreign language class back home, because they're not as good as you are - but of course you secretly like it that way.

18. You get letters and emails in a language that no one else can read.

19. You've ever eaten anything called 'masonja', only to later discover it is actually caterpillar stew.

20. You've ever attempted to fit all your worldly possessions into 2 suitcases and a carry on. (And have succeeded, more than once!)

21. You cringe at the mention of 'baggage weight limit'.

22. You have 20 siblings and 8 parents.

23. You can describe in perfect detail every symptom of traveler's flu, but still travel anyways.

24. You can swear in 20 languages but only speak 2 or 3 fluently.

25. The only reason you have for wanting to go to a country at first is 'the guys/girls are really hot' or 'I hear the food is wonderful' or you don't even have a reason, or can't remember it.

32. Your family calls you by the name of your hair color, because it is natural and not found in the country you're in.

33. You have been in the country long enough that when you see a 'foreigner' you laugh and shake your head - but you never help, just watch.

34. When you get together with other students, the only stories you tell are the ones that rotary does not need to hear.

35. It becomes habit to introduce yourself by saying 'I am from (country) and my name is (name)'

36. It's a shocker to actually have clean clothes for once in your life, because

37. You don't do your own laundry back home.

38. When rotary calls your house your first thought is ok for once it wasn't me.

39. You look forward to the Rotary meetings for the food, but dread going for all the boredom that will follow.

40. Every day is a new adventure and you don't consider it a day unless something worthy of story telling happens.

42. (For the guys) the nearest restroom is exactly where you're walking.

43. You read books you've never heard of and would never dream of reading if you were back home because they are the only English books in your city.

44. You 'talk' to your pets when you phone home.

45. You find the things that were strange to you when you first arrived so normal that you now think the equivalent back home is strange.

46. You become really good friends with people you barely spoke to back home because they email you more than the people you considered your 'good' friends.

47. You can't imagine what life will be like without all the wonderful things you have experienced and friends you have made in your new country.

48. You speak the wrong language every time you open your mouth for the first few days you are back home after the first few days of speaking the wrong language, you speak your own language with a strange accent.

49. You can't remember the words for things so you make them up, and everyone understands exactly what you mean, or thinks that your word is cooler than the real word.

50. People mistake you for a local until you speak (sometimes even after).

51. You help tourists because you know where the nearest bank is, how much it costs to mail a letter, how to use the pay phone, what bus to take, local customs, etc.

52. You can't walk through a public place (eg train station) without seeing someone you know.

53. Major tourist attractions no longer faze you (e.g. you go to the Grande Place because there's an ATM there).

54. You can understand things in languages you've never studied

55. You no longer know where home is.

56. You think blazers with tons of pins are way cool, although everybody laughs at them.

57. While other, non-exchange people are amazed by how many pins you have, you insist that you have very few and won't be satisfied till you've at least doubled the number.

58. Your eyes are constantly scanning for more pins to buy, and when you can't buy any more you make them out of bottlecaps and transit cards.

59. You have dreamt in the native language of the country your in, and had no clue what in the world happened, let alone what was said.

60. You get offended when people try to speak to you in your native language.

61. You find that speaking in your native language becomes strangely difficult and you forget words that you have known almost your whole life.

62. You can't pass a pastanesi/pastisserie/bakery without getting something, or at the very least pressing your nose up against the window.

63. You've got friends on more than two continents.

64. You can legitimately argue with yourself in 2+ languages.
